Glasgow Soup is a crowdfunding public dinner
where people meet and vote to make local community-based projects and ideas a reality.

The concept originated in Detroit back in 2010 and has been brought to the city of Glasgow by Social Care Ideas Factory.

How Soup works?

£5 gets you soup, bread and a vote

Four presentations

At each SOUP dinner there are four presentations on projects ranging from art, youth, social justice, entrepreneurs, education, and lots more.

Four minutes

Each presenter has 4 minutes to share their idea.

Four questions

Audience members can ask each presenter up to 4 questions after their presentation.

Debate and discuss

After the presentations, audience members are encouraged to discuss/debate before voting.

Time to vote

Audience members then vote on what project idea they think benefits the community the most.

Who has won?

When the night nears to a close we count the votes and whoever has the most votes takes home the money from the door. Previous winners are invited to the next Glasgow Soup to give a winner’s update!
